Shore it Up Homewatch and Concierge Services is a professional home watch service provider that caters to the needs of seasonal, absentee, busy professionals and vacation homeowners in Monmouth County, NJ.  We offer reliable, high-quality services designed to minimize the risk of unexpected issues and expensive damages in unoccupied homes. Acting as a trusted liaison for homeowners during their absence, we work diligently to safeguard the value of their property. Our primary goal is to provide risk mitigation and peace of mind for our clients.


Home Watch is known by many names: house watch, house check, home concierge, caretaker, absentee home service, property watch, and so on. Regardless of the name, a Home Watch service performs scheduled inspections of unoccupied or vacant properties while the owner is away. The National Home Watch Association describes Home Watch as “a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.” 


Shore It Up Home Watch and Concierge Services is accredited by the National Home Watch Association (NHWA) and is registered, insured and bonded.  The NHWA performs complete background checks on all members and requires that each member participate in continued education and training. Every member is vetted for consumer complaints and is bound to operate under a Code of Ethics as prescribed by the NHWA.

Who We Are

Amy Horowitz

Hello, Homeowners! I'm Amy from Shore it Up Homewatch and Concierge. I wanted to introduce myself personally.


I have over two decades in the real estate sector, my background includes more than 25 years as a state-certified and FHA-approved real estate appraiser and real estate investor.  During my years as an appraiser, I didn’t just evaluate home, I wanted to truly understand them.  I wanted to know how they were built, how to protect them, and how every detail impacted their value.  I pursued continuing education in construction, residential property inspections, and recognizing repair issues. I wanted to be confident not just in spotting problems, but in understanding how they should be properly addressed. 


Over the years I witnessed firsthand the significant damage that can occur to homes when they're left unattended. This experience inspired me to start a homewatching company, where I could help homeowners protect their properties and provide them with peace of mind when they're away. 


As an accredited homewatcher, my company performs scheduled inspections of unoccupied or vacant properties.


These inspections include a basic check of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as the overall condition of the home and property. 


As your Concierge, I'm here to help you manage your contractors, check on your mail, water your plants and get your house opened for your return home.


Let me bring my expertise to give you peace of mind.  Shore it Up helps alleviate the stress of owning a second home and helps mitigate any issues before they become a large problem.
